Deposit refunds

• Dear Julia Cakes will refund of the deposit amount specified in the quote if cancellation occurs more than four weeks from the date of delivery/pickup.

• The deposit is non refundable if cancellation occurs within four weeks.

Final Balance payments

• Final balance payments are non refundable and are due a minimum of one week before delivery/pickup.

Refunds

• A refund will not be given if the reason is the dislike of the taste or design of the cake. Please make sure you have read the cake order summary provided when paying the deposit and advise me with any changes at that time if necessary.

• A refund/partial refund is only considered if there is something wrong with the cake that goes against what we have previously discussed. Please note that some creative control is needed to create cakes.

• A refund is only considered if the customer returns the full cake within 2 days of the original pick up/delivery and a decision will be made after inspection.

Non-payments

• If the final payment is not paid a minimum of a week prior to delivery/pick up Dear Julia Cakes has the right to withdraw from the placed order. The deposit will not be refunded.

Changes to order

• Changes to the order design are allowed if more than two weeks notice is given. However this may incur extra charges.

Pick up/ Delivery

• Pick up and delivery will be agreed on via email prior to the deposit being paid to secure the order. Delivery will incur a higher fee.

• Once the cake has been picked up or delivered, Dear Julia Cakes takes no responsibility of the cake from that point.

Allergies

• Please note that Dear Julia Cakes cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are free from allergens. All cakes are made in the same kitchen and cross contamination of allergens may occur.

• The customer is responsible for informing their guests of any allergy information accordingly and we cannot be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from the consumption of the cake.

Cake Storage

• The customer will be informed of the best way to store the cake.

• If the customer chooses not to store the cake as discussed it will be their responsibility.

Photography

• Dear Julia Cakes keeps irrevocable and unrestricted rights to use and publish photographs of customers cakes for advertising, display, website and internet promotion.

​

Right of Withdrawal

• Dear Julia Cakes has the right to withdraw any placed orders due to contributing factors such as non-payment, non-cooperation and changes to the order.

​

Cake Design

• Please note that we cannot make exact copies of cakes. We will do our best to make a similar cake to the inspiration pictures provided.

• We also cannot guarantee super white buttercream. We do our best to get it as white as possible but due to the presence of butter it can have an off white look.

​

Tasting boxes

• Please make sure you have read the product description and are aware of pick up dates/times prior to check out. Please also let me know of any changes as soon as possible.

• Tasting boxes are not refundable within a week of the pick up date.

• Any refunds requested more than a week before the pick up date will incur a $10 admin fee.

• Tasting boxes are set flavours and cannot be altered.

• The mini cakes range are set designs.

• The only customised option is the custom plaque.

• Please also note that the design may vary slightly to the product picture due to changes in seasonal flowers/fruit.

Pick up/delivery

• Please contact me if you would like delivery for mini cakes prior to check out.

• Please check the pick up dates and times available. Mini cakes are not available outside of these dates and times.
